As a Go-to-Market (GTM) Analyst at Main, you drive commercial performance across portfolio companies by analyzing KPIs, improving funnel conversion, ICP/segmentation, pricing & packaging, partner channels, retention/expansion, and building scalable GTM playbooks.

We are looking for a motivated, analytical, and entrepreneurial Analyst to join our Performance Excellence team, focusing on driving the commercial performance of our portfolio companies.

Why You’ll Be a Great Fit?

  • Educational Background
    You hold an academic degree relevant to the position, such as Business Administration, Business Information Management, Economics, Econometrics, or a Technical University degree with an MBA or Business Administration minor.
  • Relevant Experience
    You have 1–2 years of experience in consultancy (e.g., commercial strategy, pricing, or CDD) or in an operational role at a tech or software company (e.g., RevOps, (sales) operations, growth, or commercial strategy). Starters with relevant internships in these areas are also encouraged to apply.
  • Analytical skills
    You possess strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in commercial and operational data analysis using Excel. You are familiar with marketing automation tools, lead generation, sales methodologies, and direct and indirect sales channels, ideally within a B2B SaaS environment.
    You also have experience in project management and project-based work, combined with a proactive, self-starting mindset that thrives in dynamic settings.
  • Independent and Organized
    You are capable of working independently, managing priorities, and maintaining structure in a changing and challenging work environment. You demonstrate strong communication and social skills, allowing effective collaboration with PX teams, deal teams, and portfolio company management.
  • Bilingual
    You have excellent command of English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
    You have an excellent English and Dutch command in word and writing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Support
    Support portfolio companies in addressing commercial challenges related to marketing automation, sales (channel) optimization, and pricing.
  • Collaboration
    Work closely with the GTM & Topline Growth Senior Associate within the Performance Excellence team, as well as deal team colleagues and management of portfolio companies.
    The work is conducted partly from our office in The Hague and partly on-site at portfolio companies.
  • Performance Assessment
    Assess Marketing & Sales performance using predefined and measured commercial KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Sales & Marketing Effectiveness
    Enhance marketing and sales funnel performance through detailed analysis of conversion rates across marketing channels and both direct and indirect sales channels.
  • Customer Segmentation & Targeting
    Define the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and develop a value proposition tailored to this audience, identifying key pain points and solutions.
  • Partnership & Channel Strategy
    Evaluate partner ecosystem performance and recommend strategies to strengthen indirect sales channels and partnerships.
  • Retention & Expansion
    Analyze churn, upsell, and cross-sell data to identify opportunities for revenue growth among existing customers.
  • Pricing & Packaging Optimization
    Refine pricing models by determining the right packaging, metrics, and price points to maximize profitability and market alignment.
  • Playbook Development
    Contribute to the creation and enhancement of commercial playbooks, capturing and sharing best practices across the portfolio.
