What you contribute to Allianz Direct
Allianz Direct continues to grow, and this time We are looking for a hands-on and experienced Senior BI Engineer to join our Global data & analytics team.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based Data Products and further improving data architecture to support the organization's data analytics needs.
- Responsible for building highly scalable data pipelines
- End-to-end responsibility for new data products, including working closely with functional experts to gather requirements & defining KPIs, building & deploying new data products on our Central data platform
- Highly skilled in various data modelling techniques and Lakehouse architecture
- Extensive experience with bi-temporal modelling
- Strong knowledge of SQL and Scala, Pyathon is a plus
- Ensure the security and reliability of the platform by implementing best practices for data governance, data security and compliance
- Develop and maintain documentation for Data Products, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, technical & user guides
- Foster a data-centric culture across organization, mentor team members
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies
- DevOps way of working, build it, own it, maintain it

What we expect from you
- University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Data Science
- 8+ years of experience in Business intelligence, data warehousing & data modelling
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably with Azure
- Experience with bi-temporal modelling is a must
- Experience in Data visualization tools, e.g. Power BI
- Highly skilled in SQL & Scala, able to work with complex queries
- Strong experience with Databricks & DBT. Kafka is a plus
- Experience with domain-distributed architecture is a plus
- Familiar with the agile way of working
- Experience in insurance or finance industry is a plus
