As our NL Compensation & Benefits Manager, you will be responsible for Aegon's labour conditions in the Netherlands.

As our Compensation & Benefits Manager, you will be responsible for Aegon's labour conditions in the Netherlands. This covers approx. 650 fte professionals in the Holding, Asset Management and Global Technology organizations in the Netherlands. In this role you will advise and work closely with our Global HR team, HR Business Partners, HR Operations, and Payroll on all C&B topics related to the Netherlands. You will lead and manage all aspects of compensation and benefits in the Netherlands by designing, implementing, and optimizing policies and processes (i.e. , employee conditions and benefits, job grading, pension scheme, insurances) as well as assessing labor market trends, competitive practices & benchmarks. You will also be responsible for and work on labor relations activities, including the Collective Labor Agreement, and for managing of the compensation round of the Holding.

Team

You will be part of the Global Compensation and Benefits team. The team consists of six Compensation and Benefits professionals, mostly located in The Netherlands. Together with the NL Compensation & Benefits Specialist, your focus will be on Aegon's labour conditions in the Netherlands. You will be reporting to the Global Head of Compensation & Benefits, and have a strong functional line to the Holding HR Director.

Requirements and qualification

  • Bachelors or master’s degree in Law, HR Management, Social or Business sciences;
  • More than 10 years of experience with Dutch terms of employment;
  • Advanced level knowledge of trends and developments in compensation & benefits, as well as strong analytical skills;
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Dutch labor law and social security legislation, and basic knowledge of local and international tax and labor legislation;
  • Ability to think creatively, be a self-starter, and navigate a complex organization
  • Ability to work independently to propose, design and implement new policies;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with senior leadership, internal stakeholders, works councils, unions and external partners;
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (verbal & written);
  • Good sense of humor.

What we offer:

We offer you an exciting position, in which you will work independently and professionally in an ambitious, international organization.

  • This position is graded as a CLA scale 14 and the monthly salary ranges between EUR 7,200 – EUR 12,000 based on a 40-hour working week (excluding a flex budget of 16.7%);
  • You will be able to work from home and in the office, and even have the possibility to work from abroad a few weeks per year;
  • You are entitled to 227,5 hours holiday per year and you can buy up to 143 hours of additional holiday hours;
  • Every 5 years you have the opportunity to go on partially paid sabbatical leave for two months.
  • Vitality is important to us, so we support you with a vitality budget of EUR 200 gross which you may use to enhance your vitality.
  • For your commuter travel we will reimburse your door-to-door travel as per our mobility policy.
  • In May 2025, Aegon will move to its new office at Schiphol WTC.
