Your job

The Finance & Risk Data Domain Store (F&R DDS) team supports the stakeholders in Finance and Risk with the implementation of the current and future data structure. As Data Analyst/Scientist Instagrams you are part of the Instagrams platform and responsible for implementation of Data Quality and Data Lineage capabilities. The Data Quality Assurance (Data QA) team of Instagrams consists of 6 people from diverse backgrounds with a focus on Data.

As the Data QA team is mainly responsible for the Risk and Control Framework, Data Quality Profiling and Monitoring, Data Lineage and Power BI Self Service, you are further responsible for  the maintenance and improvement of the Data Quality Framework, in addition to activities regarding business and technical data lineage on Finance and Risk Chain. Two capabilities involve stakeholder management under tight deadlines for Business As Usual activities. Furthermore, the technical development skills on Azure Cloud services are necessary and part of the day-to-day job for this role. 

Working environment

The Data Department Finance & Risk is part of Finance & Risk Business Grids (F&RBG), and plays an active role for all the Finance and Risk departments. We employ 250+ international professionals with different backgrounds who are driven to bring risk data management to a structurally higher level. Our aim is to generate reliable risk data on time. We do this by improving the risk data itself, data systems and data processes. We work with an Agile operating model. Our Data Department Finance & Risk consists of 5 teams where the atmosphere is dynamic, open and informal. 

Your profile

You are an energetic person with a passion for combining both thinking and doing. You know what is going on in your organisation. Bringing valuable contribution towards your clients is a primary drive for working in delivery of (parts of)  Data Platforms within Finance and Risk Management. You take initiative in keeping your expertise at level, as well learning by doing to develop and deepen your skills. You keep direction and persevere to implement chosen solutions. You receive energy from sharing knowledge and skills. Reversely, you seek what you can learn from colleagues.
 

The ideal candidate is expected to:

• Have a master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics; econometrics or related field; 
• Have at least 8-10 years of relevant industry experience
• Have proficiency in using SQL, Python and PySpark. Experience in Databricks is a plus.                     
• Have knowledge of at least one of the cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Be self-motivated
• Be teamwork-, innovation- and goal-orientated
• Have strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
• Embrace the agile way of working
• Have the courage to be true to yourself and stretch what is to improve it
• Have comfort working in a dynamic environment with several ongoing concurrent projects; able to prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Have the capacity to challenge stakeholders and get to the "question behind the question“
• Be knowledgeable on Finance/Risk and reporting processes and you want to broaden and deepen your analytical skills related to reporting, processes, data and applications.
• Experience in Banking is a plus.
