In recent years, attention to Risk and Security within ABN AMRO increased. With the rise of digitalization, more risks have emerged, and the IT department holds a significant responsibility here. As a Risk Officer in the CIO Office IT, you'll be responsible for monitoring and managing these risks. Understanding applicable laws, ABN AMRO policies, addressing any issues, and playing a vital role in our daily operations is crucial.

As a Risk Officer, you'll be the expert, delving into bank policies, standards, and regulations to support CIOs and MTs in compliance matters. From within the 1st line, you'll be responsible for:

• Monitoring Operational Risk adequately.
• Implementing policies as established.
• Ensuring adequate risk control within your business line and the set risk appetite. 
• Promoting a risk-aware and self-learning organization by providing support, guidance, and challenging colleagues at operational, tactical, and strategic levels.

Werkomgeving

You'll join a rapidly changing environment, absorbing a lot of information, reading extensively, making connections, and understanding the bigger picture of your business line. Don’t worry; you are not alone! You will undergo an intensive learning program and onboarding to gain an in-depth understanding of your business line. It’s important to keep yourself informed about Information Risk developments within and outside ABN AMRO. Your challenge is to foster a risk-aware organization, take ownership of information risks, and remain independent within your business line while weighing commercial and security perspectives.

Je profiel

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Security, Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
• Relevant work experience through internships, part-time jobs, or full-time positions.
• You have convincing communication skills, that enable you to engage in discussions with senior management and convey your viewpoints effectively.
• You have the analytical ability to analyze texts and identify concepts, connections, and gaps.
• You are skilled at simplifying complex topics and concepts, into clear language for your colleagues and management.
• You enjoy committing to your work and undergoing intensive training to gain a deep understanding of the bank.
• You are proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
