Solution Architect Data Platform
Your impact as a Solution Architect Data Platform as part of NNDAP will enable NN to be a data driven company by helping the business units to deliver high-quality design software components, used at the BU’s to compile data systems which make Nationale Nederlanden the best data-driven financial services company. You get the opportunity to take part in designing and implementing solutions that will be re-used by over 110 data engineers in 10 teams and 15 countries.
Wat je gaat doen
- Design: Architect end-to-end solutions for a scalable and robust data analytics platform on Azure Cloud. You own the technical roadmap, responsible for building and maintaining a detailed AS IS and TO BE architectural blueprints for Data Platform, in relation with business functionalities and capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. You brainstorm and design solutions to optimize our data platform solution architecture along with other team members to reach the best technical solution together
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison between business units and technical teams, ensuring alignment between business goals and technological solutions. Enable business teams to run successful data and AI projects and be a tech savvy or mentor other junior engineers with consistent feedback loop
- Soft skills: when required, ability to confront and overcome resistance and communicate and explain technical strategy to executives
- Technical Leadership: Lead the technical team in implementing and maintaining the data analytics platform. Stay current with industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement. Communicate technical blueprints to the developers

- Proven Experience: Demonstrated expertise as a Solution Architect specializing in Azure Cloud-based data analytics platforms
- Azure Proficiency: Strong grasp of Azure services, data engineering, and analytics tools
- Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and manage tough conversations in a federated environment
- Multi-Business Unit Experience: Preference for candidates with previous experience in multi-business unit environments
- Balancing Business & Technical: Ability to navigate and balance business objectives with technical constraints to deliver optimal solutions

You will work with a diverse and an international team, our culture is inherited from NN Core values Care, Clear and Commit. Our way of working is agile with 2 weeks sprints, and we have two squads, one (serving Dutch business units) and the other (serving international business units) and they are being supported by the MT squad (Engineering Manager, Product Owner and the Solution Architect where you belong).
